Event Spotlight: Friendraiser 2015

A Perfect Ending to a Successful Year!

Winter 2016 Photo 1

On December 9th St. Mary’s Outreach Center hosted their 6th Annual Holiday Friendraiser at the historic Clover Hill Mansion. The annual fundraiser is a way for old friends and new supporters alike to come together to celebrate the holiday season, listen to live music and learn more about the important work SMOC completed over the past year. Food for the event, which included holiday favorites like crab dip and roast carving station, was graciously provided by Integrace. Music was provided by the ever talented musicians Bob Muckenfuss and Steve Reinbolt. Our Director, Sandra Simmons, took time to thank The Rev. Wayne Larson, who has stepped down as Chairman of the SMOC Board, for the use of his beautiful home and his years of dedication and support to St. Mary’s. As a thank you, The Rev. Larson was presented with an antique brass Monastery Doorbell. Rev. Larson spoke to the continual need for St. Mary’s Outreach Center in the greater Hampden community, highlighting the value that every individual and organizational donor brings to St. Mary’s. Rev. Larson noted that without the generosity of our strong donor base, SMOC would not be able to complete its mission of providing crucial services to older adults so they can live with respect and dignity in the neighborhood they have called home for most of their lives.
